Donovaly is a recreational village netsled high up in the low Tatras Mountains. It stretches from the city of Banská Bystrica to Ružomberok and most of its area comes under NAPANT, which stands for National Park Low Tatras. It is an important tourist destination in the summers as well as the winters. There are plenty of ski tracks that stretch for 11km downhill and facilities like chair lifts are also there. If you enjoy athletics then you can use the 25km jogging track and also check out some of the hiking trails.
